Jim Capobianco reported on the success of our recent fundraising performances and plans for future engagements. Marc DeSouza conducted our annual auction, spicing up the proceedings with his insights into the history, mechanics, and workmanship of many of the articles offered and recalling masterful performances using them. There was a gung ho spirit with Circles Squared and Cubes transforming. Unbelievable bargains and inspiration were the order of the day.
Next month’s meeting will be our Annual Stage Contest. Surprises are in store as our members perform new effects of their own invention or give a novel take on classics of magic. If the past is any indication, expect to see a very worthy demonstration of skills and showmanship.
